New York Red Bulls midfielder Tyler Adams scored his first goal for the U.S. Men's National Team on Tuesday night, and it was the game-winner in their 1-0 victory over Mexico at Nashville's LP Stadium.

Adams, 19, made a run from the midfield and finished a low cross from Antonee Robinson for his first goal in the U.S. shirt in the 71st minute. The Wappingers' Falls , N.Y. native earned his first senior call up and cap last November, and has now represented the United States in its last seven matches.

Adams began with the Red Bulls Regional Development School as an Under-12 player. In 2015 he became the first player to progress from RDS through the Red Bulls Academy system to a professional contract, signing with NYRB II at 16. Adams has made 66 appearances for the Red Bulls across all competitions, with three goals and four assists.

Alongside Adams, Red Bulls Academy products Matt Miazga (Chelsea FC/Nantes) and Timothy Weah (Paris Saint-Germain) were also in the USMNT Starting XI. Current Red Bull Tim Parker was on the bench for the match, while Aaron Long was also called into camp for the USMNT.
