Alabama On Top Of FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll - Week 5

Alabama, now 5-0 after a dominant 42-21 win over Ole Miss Saturday afternoon, kept their top spot of the FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll for Week 5 of the college football season.

Georgia, also 5-0 with a 37-0 shutout of Arkansas on Saturday, remains in second place, but they picked up seven first-place votes to garner 13. They were the only other school besides Alabama to receive first-place votes. Alabama received 39.

Iowa, who improved to 5-0 with a win over 51-14 win over Maryland, moves up one into the third spot. Penn State moved into fourth, up one spot as well, after their 24-0 win over Indiana. 

Cincinnati beat Notre Dame, 24-13, and that was good enough to leap two spots, from seventh to fifth. Oklahoma remained in sixth after 

Michigan made a major jump in the poll, leaping from 13th to seventh after their dominant win at Wisconsin, 38-17.

Ohio State jumped from 11th to eighth with their 52-13 win over Rutgers, which improved them to 4-1.

The biggest drop was by Oregon (41), whose crushing loss to Stanford, 31-24 in overtime, dropped them from third to ninth.

Rounding out Super 16 are: 10. BYU (5-0); 11. Michgan State (5-0); 12. Kentucky (5-0); 13. Oklahoma State (5-0), 14. Notre Dame (4-1), 15. Arkansas (4-1); 16. Coastal Carolina (5-0).
