With Lockout Over, Mets Release New Spring Training Schedule

The Major League Baseball lockout ended yesterday, and with that, the start of spring training is imminent.

The Mets announced that the spring training schedule will open on Saturday, March 19 against the  Washington Nationals, with the first Mets home game in Port St. Lucie happening against the St. Louis Cardinals the following day.

There will be 15 spring training games, pared down from the usual 25-30 they would play, with the spring schedule concluding on Tuesday, April 5 at Washington.
