The Mets made the prudent decision to postpone Saturday's game against the Cleveland Guardians, with rain throughout the day, and will now be set to play a split-admission doubleheader on Sunday.
The first game will be at 1:40 p.m., with Max Scherzer on the mound for the Mets against Cleveland's Tanner Bibee. That game will air on PIX 11.
The second, originally scheduled, game will begin at 7:10 p.m. for ESPN Sunday Night Baseball, and it will feature a premier pitching matchup with Justin Verlander getting the start for the Mets and Shane Bieber pitching for Cleveland.
Fans holding paid tickets for the game that was originally set to be played today, Saturday, May 20, can use them for the rescheduled game at 1:40 p.m.
The Francisco Lindor Grass Growing Bobblehead that was supposed to be given out Saturday will now be given out for fans attending Game One of the doubleheader. The first 15,000 fans in attendance will receive it.
Season Ticket Members may exchange their May 20 tickets for a 2023 regular season game at Citi Field, excluding the Subway Series vs. the Yankees on June 13 and 14.
Prepaid parking will be valid for admission to Game One. Ticket holders for Saturday's game with a prepaid parking pass who do not attend Sunday's makeup game will automatically receive a voucher redeemable for a new prepaid parking pass in their My Mets Tickets account.
