College Football: FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll - Week 9

 



In the FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll for Week 9 of the 2023 College Football season, the top four schools for the second straight week are Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, and Florida State.

Georgia picked up 39 of the 56 first-place votes to remain No. 1 for the 19th consecutive week after they beat Florida, 43-20, on the road. 

No. 2 Michigan was idle over the weekend, while Ohio State remained No. 3 with their 24-10 win at Wisconsin. Florida State claimed the fourth spot again after they rolled by Wake Forest, 41-16, on the road.

Washington stayed at No. 5 with their 42-33 win at Stanford, while Oregon moved up two spots to No. 6 with their 35-6 win at Utah.

Texas stayed in the seventh spot with their 35-6 win over BYU at home, with a backup quarterback. Alabama, who was idle this week, moved up one spot to No. 8.

Oklahoma fell four spots from No. 6 down to 10 after they lost on the road at rival Kansas, 38-33. It was Kansas first victory over Oklahmoma since 1997.

The biggest drop of the week was by Oregon State, who fell five spots from No. 11 to 16 after they lost at Arizona, 27-24. 

Louisville, who shutout Duke, 23-0, returned to the poll at No. 16, while Utah dropped out of it after they fell to Oregon, 35-6, at home.
