The Mets, as part of their MetsGiving initiatives and in partnership with the Amazin' Mets Foundation, will host their annual food drive this Thursday at Citi Field.
It will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Mets Team Store at Citi Field, and will benefit City Harvest. Mr. and Mrs. Met will be on hand between 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m.
All types of canned and packaged goods are acceptable but no glass containers, perishable or expired food items.
The most needed are canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned proteins (for example, tuna or beans), canned soups, peanut butter (plastic jars), macaroni and cheese (in packages), hot an cold cereal (packaged, family-sized), and juice packs.
Fans who donate 10 or more items will receive a voucher redeemable for two tickets to a select Monday-Thursday Mets game in the 2026 season (Opening Day excluded). Fans will be limited to one ticket voucher.
The Mets Team Store will also offer a 20 percent discount to those who donate to the food drive. (some exclusions may apply)
Free parking for the food drive is located in Lot G. The Mets Team Store is located on the first base side at Citi Field, between the Jackie Robinson Rotunda and the Hodges Entrance.
