Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Makes Iowa Ballot In One Day

Independent Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced on Saturday that his campaign has achieved ballot access in Iowa by convening the necessary participants at a convention held in Des Moines.

A special way Iowa gives ballot access in one day is by having 500 eligible voters in the state attend an assembly and sign a form attesting that they were present at the event.

Nearly 1,000 people were in attendance at the Val Air Ballrooom in West Des Moines, Iowa, on Saturday, April 13. The campaign succeeded in getting 650 eligible Iowa voters to sign the assembly form.

"Thank you Iowa for showing up and getting me on the ballot in your state," Kennedy told the crowd. "What an incredible day. I love your passion and commitment for reviving the American dream and restoring democracy to our great land."

This now makes it eight states whose ballots Kennedy, along with his running mate Nicole Shanahan, is slated to appear on in the campaign's quest to be on the ballot in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

RFK Jr. is already on the ballot in Utah, and Hawaii's Office of Elections confirmed Kennedy supporters have collected the required signatures to establish the "We The People" party. He has collected all the necessary signatures for ballot access in Nebraska, Idaho, North Carolina, New Hampshire, and Nevada.

When one thinks of Iowa, you can't help but think of the landmark movie Field of Dreams, and its iconic phrases "If you build it, he will come," "go the distance," and "ease his pain," three phrases fitting for what Americans are looking for Kennedy in his run for the Presidency.
