St. John's Releases 2017-18 Schedule, Featuring Duke At The Garden

The St. John’s men’s basketball team finalized its 31-game schedule for 2017-18 on Tuesday with the Big East’s public release of the conference lineup.

St. John’s will play a total of 16 home games this season at Carnesecca Arena and Madison Square Garden, with seven of those contests on weekend dates.

The Mets announced that they will open the 2018 regular season on Thursday, March 29 vs. the St. Louis Cardinals.
That is part of a six-game homestand in which they will play three against the Cardinals, with the final two games of the series Saturday, March 31 and Sunday, April 1, and a three-game set with the Phillies Monday, April 2 through Wednesday, April 4.

Yankees At Citi Field: What You Need To Know

Major League Baseball announced on Friday that the Yankees' upcoming three-game series at the Tampa Bay Rays starting Monday has been relocated from Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida to Citi Field due to Hurricane Irma.

Game times for Monday, September 11 and Tuesday, September 12 are 7:10 p.m.; and Wednesday, September 13 at 1:10 p.m.

Yankees Mourn Passing Of "Stick" Michael, Architect of 1990s Dynasty

On Thursday morning, the Yankees were saddened to learn of the passing of Gene "Stick" Michael, who passed away at his home in Oldsmar, Florida, and was 79 years old.

Michael played for the Yankees in the 1960s, and later served as their manager and general manager.

Most importantly, Michael was the architect of the 1990s dynasty that produced five championships, as he drafted the Fab Five of Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Andy Pettitte, Jorge Posada, and Bernie Williams.
