St. John's Legendary Coach Carnesecca Passes Away Just Shy Of Century Mark

Lou Carnesecca, the patriarch of the St. John's Men's Basketball program, passed away on Saturday, the team announced just hours after their win over Harvard.

The St. John's Red Storm had a tougher than expected game on Saturday night at Carnesecca Arena, as they held off Harvard, 77-64.

The St. John's Red Storm remain in the AP Top 25, coming in at No. 22 for the second straight week, as they are now 4-0 on the season. In the USA Today Coaches' Poll, they came in at No. 21, a four-spot jump from last week.

Sunday afternoon at Madison Square Garden saw a unique matchup, as St. John's, led by Head Coach Rick Pitino, squared off against his son, Richard, and the New Mexico Lobos.
