Battle Of The Badges At Citi Field Now August 17th

 


The Mets will be hosting the second annual Battle of the Badges, the charity softball game between the New York City Police Department and Fire Department, will now on Thursday, August 17 at 7:10 p.m. at Citi Field. It has been postponed from tonight, Thursday, August 10, due to inclement weather.

Former Mets captain David Wright will be host of the game and honor and NYPD and FDNY hero for doing "The Wri5ht Thing" prior to the game. 

The teams will be comprised of former high school, college, and minor league baseball players that are now members of the  NYPD and FDNY. Each department has won 12 games in this historic battle, with the NYPD winning 9-6 at Citi Field last year.

Tickets are $20, with a portion of the ticket and concession sales going to UFA NYC Widows and Children's Fund, NY Firefighters Burn Center Foundation, PBA Widows and Children's Fund, The Children's Hospital at Montefiore, and South Fork United, Inc.
