The New York Mets and the New York Blood Center (NYBC) will host their annual Summer Blood Drive this Thursday, June 30, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Piazza Club at Citi Field.

Fans donating blood will receive a voucher redeemable for two tickets to a select Mets home game in 2022, with exclusions and based on availability.

Donors must be 16 years of age (with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good health.

People are NOT eligible to donate if they are experiencing a cold, sore throat, respiratory infection, or flu-like symptoms. Click here for additional information on donor eligibility and Covid-19 precautions.

NYBC announced a blood emergency last month due to an alarming drop in blood donations. The region's blood supply currently stands at a 2-3 day level, which is well below the ideal level of 5-7 days. Hospitals and patients rely upon a steady flow of volunteer donors to receive life-saving donations, and NYBC encourages all who are able to sign up and donate today, especially as we head into the summer months when it is even more difficult to turnout blood donors. One blood donation can save up to three lives.
