The Fordham Rams rolled to a 54-14 win over the Holy Cross Crusaders in the Ram-Crusader Cup at Yankee Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Fordham came out firing, as Chase Edmonds scored on a 41-yard run 2:42 into the game to make it 7-0.
After they stopped Holy Cross on a fourth down on the ensuing drive, Fordham marched down the field, and Edmonds got another touchdown on a one-yard run to give them a 14-0 lead.

The Rams weren't done yet, and they had a trick play up their sleeves in the final minutes. They employed the flea flicker to give Corey Caddie the chance to throw a 237-yard touchdown pass to Jorge Solano to make it 21-0 Fordham with 2:06 left in the first quarter.
The Rams kept rolling in the second quarter, as Edmonds ran for his third touchdown of the day to make it 27-0 with 7:10 left.
It took Holy Cross just over a minute to respond, as Geoff Wade fired a deep pass to Darrius Lacy, and Diquan Walker scored on an 8-yard run to get the Crusaders on the board cut the Fordham lead to 27-7.
Fordham quarterback Kevin Anderson responded with two touchdown passes to close the half. The first one was a 17-yard strike to Isaia Searight that made it 33-7 at the 3:50 mark, and a two-yard pass to Robbi Cantelli with just 12 seconds left to make it 40-7.
In the third quarter, they traded touchdowns, as Holy Cross' Wade found Richie DiNicola for a 36-yard pass at the 10:55 mark, and Anderson found Austin Longi from seven yards out to make it 47-14 at the 6:02 mark.
Edmonds notched his fourth touchdown of the afternoon with 7:19 left in the fourth quarter, as he took it in from 18 yards out to make it 54-14.
Fordham Head Coach Andrew Breiner said of the win, "Very proud of our team's performance tonight. We challenged them to start fast, and they sustained the effort throughout the game.
Breiner said of jumping out to a 14-0 lead pretty quickly, "How do we get to 21? Honestly, that's it. We really wanted to start fast. Holy Cross outscored their opponents something like 94-58 in the first quarter this season, so it was something I was very aware of and I wanted to jump on them early."
Edmonds said of the Fordham offense, "This speaks volumes about our offensive line and we have the best quarterback in the country, just little complementary football. I think this was our best game offensively, where we had a solid, established run game and Kevin (Anderson) was lights out with passing. I feel like that's when our offense is at its best when we can run the ball."
The attendance was 21,375.
