The St. John's Red Storm remain in the AP Top 25, coming in at No. 22 for the second straight week, as they are now 4-0 on the season. In the USA Today Coaches' Poll, they came in at No. 21, a four-spot jump from last week.

It is the first time they have been ranked in the Top 25 for two straight weeks since the 2014-15 season, Steve Lavin's last at the helm.

This week, St. John's held off a spirited Wagner team in a 66-45 win on Wednesday night at Carnesecca Arena. Then, yesterday, in what was billed as the Father/Son Game, St. John's bested New Mexico, 85-71, at Madison Square Garden.

Also on Monday, RJ Luis Jr. was named to the Big East Weekly Honor Roll for the second straight week after he averaged 17.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game in the two victories.

On Sunday, Luis led the Red Storm with 21 points on 8-18 from the field, 1-4 from behind the arc, and 4-5 on free throws, with 11 rebounds to give him a double-double, plus seven assists.

No. 22 St. John's is one of four Big East schools in the AP Top 25, along with No. 2 UConn, No. 14 Creighton, and No. 15 Marquette.
