ALERT: Red Bulls Home Opener PATH Train Issues

The Red Bull New York home opener is this afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, NJ.

If you are going to the game, PATH trains are NOT stopping at the Harrison Station.

According to the PATH app, there is "testing for new interlocking system between Harrison and Journal Square Stations requires partial PATH service suspensions over 5 weekends in Feb-April."

That means that you can take the PATH from Manhattan to Grove St. or Journal Square, and get shuttle buses from to Harrison, and from Harrison to those stations after the game.

That means instead of a nice 5-to-10 minute jaunt on the train, these shuttle buses will be hitting the road, so please give yourself plenty of time to get there to put it mildly.

EDITORIAL NOTE: As pathetic as things are in New York, the city would not pull something this awful. This is an insult to the Red Bulls and their fans, and should NEVER happen again.

If there happens to be work on PATH, at least don't mess with the Harrison station.
