The St. John's Red Storm men's basketball team remained at No. 17 in the AP Top 25, and moved up one spot to No. 16 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
This week, St. John's won their two games to run their winning streak to 11 games.
On Monday night at Madison Square Garden, they beat Xavier, 87-82, and on Saturday, they won at Providence, 79-69.
The Red Storm are now 20-5 overall, and 13-1 in Big East Conference play, just 1/2-game behind Connecticut for the top spot in the conference.
Connecticut is the only other Big East school in the national rankings.
