The Mets have teamed up with Marvel Entertainment for Noah Syndergaard-Thor Bobblehead Day. Saturday, July 22 when the Mets host the Oakland A’s 7:10 p.m..
The first 15,000 Mets fans in attendance will get this one-of-a-kind collectible courtesy of Delta Air Lines. The Jackie Robinson Rotunda Gates will open at 5:10 p.m.
The collaboration is the first of its kind for the Mets and Marvel, granting an actual athlete, just like in the comics, the mighty power of Thor, through this one-of-a-kind collectible bobblehead!
“It was pretty awesome when I saw myself as a Thor bobblehead for the first time,” said Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard. “I’m thrilled that many of our fans will be able to take this home and extremely honored that Marvel decided to work with us on this project.”
Syndergaard, the Mets’ scheduled Opening Day starter, is an avid Thor fan and was given the nickname as he was rising as a prospect in the Mets’ minor league system.
This promotion is part of Mets’ Super Saturdays at Citi Field, which includes nine games throughout the 2017 regular season.
These games will feature Fireworks Nights, during which postgame fireworks will be launched from Citi Field’s roof and the center field grass, providing a 360-degree experience for fans throughout the ballpark, as well as some of the best promotional giveaways of 2017.
