Red Bulls Out Of Champions League

The Red Bulls have been eliminated from the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League on Thursday night after they lost 2-0 on the road to the Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
The Whitecaps win the two-leg quarterfinal matchup, 3-1, on aggregate. The first leg was a 1-1 draw at Red Bull Arena on Wednesday, February 22.

Vancouver struck in the fifth minute with a goal from Alphonso Davies. Fredy Montero scored the Whitecaps second goal in the 77th minute as the Red Bulls pushed forward for the equalizer.
Gonzalo Veron exited the match in the eighth minute due to injury. He was replaced by Homegrown Derrick Etienne, Jr.
Alex Muyl made his competitive debut for 2017, coming on for Danny Royer in the 60th minute.
New York has a quick turnaround, leaving Vancouver after the game for a direct overnight flight to Atlanta. The Red Bulls open the 2017 MLS Season against expansion side Atlanta United FC on Sunday, March 5. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET, with coverage on FS1, Fox Deportes and Red Bulls Radio.
The Red Bulls return home to open the eighth season of soccer at Red Bull Arena on Saturday, March 11, when the Colorado Rapids visit for a 4 p.m. ET kickoff.
New York will be back in the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions league for the 2017-18 edition of the tournament.
