Former New York City FC Player Andrea Pirlo will be on hand with the UEFA Champions League Trophy as part of its Tour presented by Heineken at Yankee Stadium on Saturday during NYCFC's game against Orlando City SC. Kickoff is at 1:00 p.m.
The Italian appeared 61 times in MLS competition during his time in New York and helped lead NYCFC to the playoffs in 2016 and 2017.
The two-time UEFA Champions League winner and 2006 FIFA World Cup champion will serve as honorary captain for the match and participate in the pre-match coin toss.
The UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour presented by Heineken makes its way to the USA for only the second time in 15 years and is partnering up with the former NYCFC player and Italian legend to commemorate the occasion.
The trophy will be available across from Section 119 at the following times:
11:30 a.m. ET – 12:00 p.m. ET: Exclusive City Member viewing
12:00 p.m. ET – 12:30 p.m. ET: All fans in attendance
1:00 p.m. ET – halftime: All fans in attendance
City Members can use points on Cityzens for the chance to win spots in an exclusive post-match meet and greet with Andrea. All fans participating in the trophy viewing or meet and greet must be over 21 years of age.
