The Mets released their 2023 schedule on Wednesday afternoon, and they will open against the Marlins in Miami on Thursday, March 30, and then host Miami in the home opener at Citi Field on Thursday, April 6.

The 2023 season will be the first one in which teams will play every team in the opposite league. In the Mets' case, that means they will play every team in the American League, not just teams in one division, like how they play the A.L. West teams this season. To make up for the additional interleague games, the Mets will play their divisional rivals 13 times, not the 19 we have become used to for the past 20 or so years.

Highlights of the schedule include:

The Subway Series with the Yankees, in which the teams will play four games against each, will take place on June 13 and 14 at Citi Field, and July 25 and 26 at Yankee Stadium.

The Mets will host the Philadelphia Phillies twice, a three-game set from May 30 to June 1 and September 29 to October 1.

The Atlanta Braves will come to Citi Field from April 28-30 and August 11-13.

The Los Angeles Dodgers will come to Citi Field for a three-game set from July 14-16.

Interleague highlights at Citi Field include: Tampa Bay Rays, May 16-18; Toronto Blue Jays from June 2-4; Chicago White Sox, July 18-20; Los Angeles Angels, August 25-27; and the Seattle Mariners, September 1-3.
