The Yankees unveiled their 2023 schedule on Wednesday afternoon, and next season will open at Yankee Stadium on Thursday, March 30 against the San Francisco Giants.

The 2023 season will feature a radical change, as it will be the first balanced schedule since interleague play was introduced in 1997, which means the Yankees will play their American League East opponents 13 times, not 19. The most noticeable change will be that teams will play every club in the opposing league, which means in the Yankees's case, that they will play all National League teams, not just those in one division, such as this year when they have played the NL Central.

Season highlights include: The Yankees will host the Boston Red Sox in a pair of three-game sets at Yankee Stadium, June 9-11 and August 18-20, and they will head to Fenway Park for a three-game set from June 16-18 and four games from September 11-14.

The Subway Series with the Mets will feature four games, two at Citi Field on June 13 and 14, and at Yankee Stadium on July 25 and 26.

The Yankees will play seven games with the Houston Astros, with a four-game set at Yankee Stadium from August 3-6, and three in Houston from September 1-3.

In addition to Boston, the Yankees will play their American League East opponents the following: Tampa Bay Rays, at Yankee Stadium, May 11-14 & July 31-August 2, and in Tampa Bay, May 5-7 & August 25-27. Toronto Blue Jays, at Yankee Stadium, April 21-23 & September 19-21, and in Toronto, May 15-18 & September 26-28. Baltimore Orioles, at Yankee Stadium, May 23-25 & July 3-6, and at Camden Yards, April 6 (Orioles home opener) and 8-9 & June 16-18.

The Yankees will be home on Jackie Robinson Day, April 15, against Minnesota; at the Los Angeles Dodgers on Lou Gehrig Day on June 2; and will play at the Pittsburgh Pirates on Roberto Clemente Day, September 15.

The Yankees will be home on Mother's Day, May 14, against Tampa Bay; and July 4th against Baltimore. The Yankees will be on the road for Memorial Day, May 29, at Seattle; and Father's Day, June 18, at the Red Sox; and they are off on Labor Day, September 4.
