Mets Have Many Festivities For Amazin' Day Tomorrow

For the first time ever, the Mets will be celebrating Amazin' Day TOMORROW, Saturday, March 25, across New York City. 

All you have to do is wear your Mets hat or any Mets gear to be granted access to several events at iconic New York institutions, community-focused events, and giveaways throughout the day. Click here to see detailed information on the Amazin' Day website to find out how you can partake in the festivities.

COMMUNITY EVENTS:

Mets Co-Branded Library Card Launch with Queens Public Library:

The Mets, in partnership with the Queens Public Library, are distributing a complimentary co-branded, limited edition library card at all Queens Library branches during Amazin' Day on a first-come, first-served basis.

The event will be located at the Central Library in Jamaica Queens, located at 89-11 Merrick Boulevard, Jamaica, NY 11432.

Mr. Met and other special guests will be at Central Library at 9:00 a.m. to welcome and take photos with fans, and doors open at 9:30 a.m. for library card sign-ups. 

North Shore Animal League America at Wollman Rink, Central Park:

Visit the Metsfield pop-up animal adoption event in Central Park, where Mets fans can adopt dogs cats, and kittens.

It will be at the Wollman Rink (830 5th Ave, New York, NY 10065), and all fans are welcome to attend. Any fan who adopts a pet from the North Shore Animal League America on Amazin' Day will receive a voucher for two complimentary Field Level tickets to a Mets home game and a complimentary Mets-themed toy for their new pet. Diamond Takeover:

Join Mets legends and cheer on baseball's future stars for a Sandlot Stars game between two local little league teams. The Amazin' Mets Foundation will donate gear to the local teams and announce a grant to renovate the field. There will also be a live DJ and fun activities for fans.

UPDATE: The event was originally scheduled to be at Flushing Meadows Corona Park, but due to expected inclement weather, the Amazin' Mets Foundation will now host a private event for the two local little league teams who were slated to play on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Piazza Club at Citi Field. The Foundation will provide lunch, donate gear to the local teams and announce a grant to renovate the Flushing Meadows Corona Park fields.

FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED EVENTS:

Mets fans are invited to wear their gear for complimentary admittance to several New York City venues. Each venue has limited tickets, so fans are encouraged to show up early.

Brooklyn Museum:

The first 500 people wearing Mets gear will receive complimentary access to one of New York City's largest museums. The Brooklyn Museum is located at 200 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, NY 11238-6052, and the event will run from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Note: Complimentary admission does not include access to the Thierry Mugler exhibition.

The Shops and Restaurants at Hudson Yards:

Fans wearing Mets gear can visit the Concierge Desk on Level 1 all day and receive a VIP shopping and dining pass. Participants can enjoy a selection of discounts while exploring the dozens of shops and restaurants at Hudson Yards. The address is: 20 Hudson Yards, New York, NY 10001.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art:

Wear your Mets gear to go and enjoy The Met, an iconic New York City Museum presenting over 5,000 years of art from around the world. Fans can stop by from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and The Met is located at 1001 5th Ave, New York, NY 10028.

The Met Cloisters:

Fans wearing their Mets gear can explore the Medieval art, architecture, and gardens of The Met Cloisters, overlooking the Hudson River in Fort Tyron Park. This event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and the Cloisters is located at 99 Margaret Corbin Drive, Fort Tyron Park, New York, NY 10040.

Brooklyn Steel:

The first 25 fans to arrive at the venue and join the line wearing their Mets hat will receive complimentary admission plus a free VIP ticket upgrade. Note: there will be no refunds for tickets already purchased. Brooklyn Steel is located at 319 Front Street, Brooklyn, NY 11222, and the event time is at 7:00 p.m. (Doors open at 7:00 p.m., while the show begins at 8:00 p.m.)

Racket NYC:

The first 25 fans to arrive at the venue and join the line wearing their Mets hat will receive complimentary admission plus a free VIP ticket upgrade. Note: there will be no refunds for tickets already purchased. Racket NYC is located at 431 W 16th St, New York, NY 10011, and the event time is at 7:00 p.m. (Doors open at 7:00 p.m., while the show begins at 8:00 p.m.)

Terminal 5:

The first 25 fans to arrive at the venue and join the line wearing their Mets hat will receive complimentary admission plus a free VIP ticket upgrade. Note: there will be no refunds for tickets already purchased. Terminal 5 is located at 610 W 56th St, New York, NY 10019, and the event time is at 7:00 p.m. (Doors open at 7:00 p.m., while the show begins at 8:00 p.m.)

Webster Hall:

The first 25 fans to arrive at the venue and join the line wearing their Mets hat will receive complimentary admission plus a free VIP ticket upgrade. Note: there will be no refunds for tickets already purchased. Webster Hall is located at 125 E 11th St, New York, NY 10003, and the event times are 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. (1st show: Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show is at 7:00 p.m. For the 2nd show, the doors open and show begins at 11:00 p.m.)

TICKETED EVENTS:

This past week, the Mets gave away hundreds of tickets to iconic New York City events happening on Amazin' Day. Lucky winners can attend one of the following events:

Gotham Comedy Club:

Winners will enjoy a night of hilarious comedy amid a sea of Mets orange and blue. The event times are 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., and the Gotham Comedy Club is located at 208 W 23rd St, New York, NY 10011.

The Metropolitan Opera:

Winners will enjoy elegant sights and sounds while rocking orange and blue. The event begins at 7:00 p.m., and The Metropolitan Opera is located at 30 Lincoln Center Plaza, New York, NY 10023. 

THE AMAZIN' DAY SWEEPSTAKES: 

Fans who enter the Amazin' Day Sweepstakes for a chance to win the Amazin' Day Grand Prize, which brings a new meaning to a fan-first experience.

The lucky winner will have unprecedented access to Citi Field, including throwing out the first pitch, meeting the player during batting practice, receiving premium tickets, and sitting in on a pregame press conference. Fans in and out of the city can enter the sweepstakes by clicking here.
