Mets To Hold First Amazin' Day Across NYC On Saturday

For the first time ever, the Mets will be celebrating Amazin' Day on Saturday, March 25, across New York City.

All you have to do is wear your Mets hat or any Mets gear to be granted access to several events at iconic New York institutions, community-focused events, and giveaways throughout the day.

Fans can sign up for the chance to win exclusive ticketed events on Amazin' Day and enter the Amazin' Day Sweepstakes to win the ultimate grand prize. Click here for the information on how you can partake in the festivities.

Immersive Ticketed Events:

- Fans can attend limited-ticket events at iconic locations, including Gotham Comedy Club and The Metropolitan Opera

- On a first-come, first-served basis, those wearing Mets apparel can gain free access to immersive experiences at locations, including the Brooklyn Museum, Hudson Yards, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and The Bowery Presents (Webster Hall, Terminal 5, Brooklyn Steel, and Racket NYC)

Community Events: This is an extension of the work of the Amazin' Mets Foundation, which has provided more than $5 million in grants to local nonprofits.

Mets alumni and Mr. and Mrs. Met will be appearing at community events throughout the day, as the Mets and the Amazin' Mets Foundation are inviting New Yorkers to support the community on Amazin' Day.

Participating organizations and events include:

- A pop-up animal adoption event with North Shore Animal League America at Wollman Rink.

- A Diamond Takeover youth baseball game at NYC Parks' Flushing Meadows Corona Park, where the Mets will donate gear to the local teams and announce a grant to renovate the field.

- A distribution of Mets co-branded, limited-edition library cards with Queens Public Library.

Wear Your Mets Hat: There will be fun surprises for fans wearing their Mets gear. Official Mets Reps will pass out swag, participating Coca-Cola restaurants will give away free Coke products, and the Dunkin' Jeep will drive around sharing gift cards.

There will be Amazin' Day Merch Pop-Ups throughout Manhattan and Queens, with Reps handing out free Amazin' Day Mets hats and gear during the day.

For out-of-town fans, there will be an opportunity to participate virtually via the Mets' social channels. Fans across the New York area and the country are encouraged to share their Mets fandom and gear on social media with the hashtag #AmazinDay.

The Amazin' Day Sweepstakes: Fans who enter the Amazin' Day Sweepstakes for a chance to win the Amazin' Day Grand Prize, which brings a new meaning to a fan-first experience.

The lucky winner will have unprecedented access to Citi Field, including throwing out the first pitch, meeting the player during batting practice, receiving premium tickets, and sitting in on a pregame press conference. Fans in and out of the city can enter the sweepstakes by clicking here.

Another Sign Mets Are In A New Era: The creation of Amazin' Day is another example of how the Mets continue to find new ways for fans to participate and celebrate their team since Steve Cohen purchased the club in 2021. This comes after the team held the first Old Timers' Day in nearly 30 years last season and unveiled a statue for Tom Seaver in front of Citi Field.

Mets EVP & Chief Marketing Officer Andy Goldberg said in the release of the Amazin' Day festivities, "The Mets are entering a new era; with great baseball and so much more. Amazin' Day is a demonstration of that philosophy, giving people across the city a chance to experience different aspects of New York and be 'amazed' on behalf of the Mets. We look forward to bringing the Mets' infectious energy to the streets of New York City and surprising and delighting fans with pop-ups and giveaways, free access to some of the city's most iconic venues, and opportunities to give back."

Amazin' Day was created by the Mets' agency of record FCB New York, and brought to life in a partnership with the Mets, Giant Spoon and Team Epiphany.
