The Beatles' landmark performance at Shea Stadium occurred 60 years ago, in 1965, and the Mets, in their new ballpark next door, Citi Field, will be hosting The Beatles Night next Friday night, August 15 - the exact anniversary - when they take on the Seattle Mariners at 7:10 p.m.
There will be Beatles-themed programming throughout the night, including a special pre-game performance by tribute band, 1964 The Tribute, in front of the Shea Bridge at 6:15 p.m.
Members of the gameday staff who worked at the Beatles concert will throw out the first pitch.
The first 15,000 fans will receive an exclusive Shea Stadium replica.
After the game, there will be Beatles-themed fireworks show. For more information on the festivities, please check out Mets.com/TheBeatlesNight.
