Kevin O'Toole Signs Contract Extension With NYCFC

New York City Football Club announced they signed Defender Kevin O'Toole to a contract extension through the 2028-29 season, with an option for the 29-30 season.

O'Toole, a Montclair, NJ, native, was selected in the second round of the 2022 MLS Super draft, and has made 111 appearances for NYCFC in his career, and has notched two goals and four assists across all competitions. 

When NYCFC reached the 2025 Eastern Conference Semifinal last season, O'Toole achieves Century Club status, as it was his 100th appearance across all competitions. He is the 19th player in NYCFC's history to reach that plateau.

"Signing another contract with New York City FC means a great deal to me," O'Toole said in a statement. "The Club has continued to put its trust in me, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to keep representing New York City. My mentality has always been to put the team first, and I'll continue doing everything I can to help this group compete for trophies."

NYCFC Sporting Director Todd Dunivant said in the press release announcing the deal, "We're pleased to have Kevin continue with New York City FC. Kevin has earned the trust of his teammates and coaches through the consistency and professionalism he brings every day. Kevin will continue to be an important member of our group moving forward."

In addition to success with NYCFC, O'Toole earned his first senior International call-up in November 2025, when he was named to the Republic of Ireland National Team roster for the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers against Portugal and Hungary.
