Mets Will Host Food Drive On Thursday

The Mets will host their annual Summer Food Drive this Thursday, July 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Citi Field.

It will take place in the Mets Team Store, which is located on the first base side of the ballpark, between the Jackie Robinson Rotunda and the Hodges Entrance. Free parking for the Food Drive will be located in Lot B.

It will be run by the Amazin' Mets Foundation to benefit City Harvest. All types of canned and packaged good are acceptable to donate, with the most needed food items being canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned proteins (like tuna and beans), canned soups, peanut butter (in plastic jars), macaroni and cheese (packaged), hot and cold cereal (packaged, family-sized), and juice packs. The Mets request you do NOT bring glass containers, perishable, or expired food.

Fans who donate at least 10 non-perishable items will receive a voucher redeemable for two tickets to a select Monday-Thursday Mets home game in 2026. Fans are limited to one ticket voucher, and those who donate will also receive a 20% discount at the Team Store.

City Harvest is New York City's first and largest food rescue organization. This year, the organization will receive nearly 100 million pounds of high-quality food that would otherwise go to waste, and deliver it to hundreds of food pantries and soup kitchens, free of charge, throughout the New York City.
