Islanders Open Preseason Sunday Against Flyers

The Islanders will begin their 2018-19 preseason schedule with a game at NYCB LIVE, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, against the Philadelphia Flyers this Sunday at 1 p.m.


Prior to the puck-drop, fans are encouraged to arrive early for a free, pre-game celebration event on the NYCB LIVE Plaza that will include:
· Mini tennis court provided by New York Open
· Variety of inflatable games
· Tailgate games, including cornhole and others
· Multiple food trucks on-site
· Exterior Beer Garden (opens at 11 a.m.)
· Music provided by local radio station WBAB

NYCB LIVE will also present Long Island Sled Hockey with a $10,000 donation from funds raised through ticket sales to the Islanders Draft Party, held at the arena in June 2018. Long Island Sled Hockey serves more than 50 physically and/or mentally disabled athletes, ages nine to 68, through sled hockey, a sport designed to allow participants with disabilities to play ice hockey. The check presentation will take place at 10:30 a.m. on NYCB LIVE Plaza where Long Island Sled Hockey President Bryan Blomquist, along with a handful of their players, will accept the check on behalf of the organization.

· Check presentation: 10:30 a.m.
· Arena doors open: 11:30 a.m.
· Puck drop: 1:00 p.m.
