College Football: FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll - Week 6

In the FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll for Week 6 of the 2024 college football season, Texas has taken back the top spot, as Alabama dropped six spots down to No. 7 after their crushing 40-35 loss to Vanderbilt.

Texas, who was idle this week, had 47 first-place votes to seven for No. 2 Ohio State, who beat Iowa 35-7. They were the only two schools to receive first-place votes this week.

Last week, it was a lot tighter battle at the top as Alabama had 28 first-place votes to 22 for Texas.

While Ohio State and Texas moved up one spot to No. 1 and 2, Oregon jumped three spots to take No. 3 with their 31-10 win over Michigan State.

Georgia jumped one spot to No. 4 with their 31-13 win over Auburn.

Ole Miss had the biggest drop in the poll, falling six spots to No. 12 after they lost to Kentucky, 20-17, at home.

Penn State moved up two spots to No. 5 with their 27-11 win over UCLA.

Miami also jumped two spots to No. 6 with their 39-38 win at Cal.

A couple of big names dropped out of the poll, as defending National Champion Michigan, No. 10 last week, lost to Washington, 27-17, and USC, No. 11 last week, fell to Minnesota, 24-17.
