College Football: FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll - Week 7

In the FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll for Week 7 of the 2024 college football season, Texas remained in the top spot for the second straight week with their resounding 34-3 win over Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry.

Texas had 47 first-place votes, while seven went to No. 2 Oregon, and they were the only two schools to receive first-place votes this week.

While an SEC team has now been ranked No. 1 in the poll in 59 of the past 60 weeks, dating back to September 29, 2019, the Big Ten locked up the following three spots.

Oregon beat No. 3 Ohio State, 32-31, which led them to flip where they were a week ago. It is Oregon's highest ranking in the poll since they were also No. 2 in December 2014.

Penn State took No. 4, as they moved up one spot, with their 33-30 win over new Big Ten rival USC.

Georgia dipped one spot to No. 5 even though they beat Mississippi State, 41-31.

Miami-FL (bye week) and Alabama (27-25 win over South Carolina) remained in the sixth and seventh slots, while Clemson jumped up two spots to No. 8 with their 49-14 win over Wake Forest.

Tennessee dipped one spot to No. 9, even though they beat Florida, 23-17 in overtime, while last week's team in the ninth spot, Ole Miss, sunk seven spots to No. 16 after their 29-26 OT loss to LSU. Conversely, LSU moved up three spots to No. 10 with the home win.
