Yankees Opening Day Roster & Final Transactions Before First Pitch

The Yankees released their roster on Wednesday morning ahead of Opening Night against the San Francisco Giants in the Bay Area, with the first pitch at 8:05 p.m. eastern time.

There also were a number of transactions the Yankees announced with it, including the signing of veteran outfielder Randal Grichuk to a Major League contract and adding him to the active roster.

Yankees transactions/roster moves:

Placed LHP Carlos Rodon on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to March 22, with left elbow surgery recovery.

Placed INF Anthony Volpe on the 10-day IL, retroactive to 3/22, with left shoulder surgery recovery.

Optioned RHP Luis Gil to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Signed OF Randal Grichuk to a Major League contract and selected him to the active roster. He will wear Number 34.
