In the FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll for Week 6 of the 2023 College Football season, the top four schools are not much of a surprise - Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, and Florida State.
Georgia picked up 40 of the 56 first-place votes to remain No. 1 for the 16th consecutive week, going back to October 9, 2022, after they beat Kentucky, 51-13, at home. This makes it a full calendar year the Bulldogs have held the top spot in this poll.
Michigan and Ohio State each moved up one spot, as the prior No. 2 team, Texas, fell seven spots to ninth after they lost at home, 34-30, to Oklahoma. Michigan won at Minnesota, 52-10, while Ohio State beat Maryland, 37-17.
Oklahoma, by virtue of that win over Texas, leaped seven spots up to No. 5, and a newcomer in the poll is Oregon State, who came in at No. 15, the highest ranking in school history, after they beat Cal, 52-40.
