Independent Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s campaign announced that, on Tuesday, the North Carolina Board of Elections officially certified the We The People party.

In turn, also on Tuesday, We The People officially announced the party has nominated Kennedy for President and Nicole Shanahan for Vice President, which gives the ticket certified ballot access in North Carolina.

This is Kennedy’s second challenge victory over the DNC, following We The People Hawaii’s victory in April, where Kennedy volunteers defeated the Democratic Party’s lawyers and staff.

North Carolina marks the second swing state, following Michigan, where Kennedy’s ballot access has been officially certified. The board’s decision comes after it voted last month to deny We The People North Carolina ballot access, despite it collected nearly double the required number of signatures.

“I want to thank the thousands of volunteers and supporters in North Carolina who made this victory possible,” said Kennedy. “This shows that the DNC’s challenges are frivolous and we will defeat them all.”

We The People North Carolina Vice Chair Ryan Rabah said, “These candidates are steadfast in their commitment to our core values. These commitments include dismantling the two-party duopoly, fostering peaceful dialogue, and safeguarding constitutional freedoms.”

North Carolina is the tenth state that Kennedy is officially on the ballot, as it joins New Mexico, Utah, Michigan, California, Delaware, Oklahoma, Hawaii, Minnesota, and South Carolina.

The ticket, in which Kennedy is running with Nicole Shanahan as his Vice Presidential nominee, has now submitted signatures for ballot access in 14 states - Indiana, Colorado, Georgia, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Alaska, Nebraska, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Illinois, and Nevada.

There are also four states that the Kennedy campaign has rounded up enough signatures for ballot access - Florida, Idaho, Iowa, and New Hampshire.

Overall, the Kennedy-Shanahan campaign has collected the signatures needed for ballot access in 28 states totaling 384 electoral votes - 71 percent of the 538 total electoral votes nationwide.
