COACH'S COMMENTS: NYCFC Head Coach Nick Cushing spoke to the media after the game, and here's what he had to say: On the team's performance: "We defended the game really well in the first half, but [we weren't] enough [of a] threat, and [we] didn't create enough chances. [We] had a lot of the ball [possession] and progressed the ball through Orlando's shape, but [we didn't pose] a threat on the goal. We knew if we put a threat on the goal, we'd have a chance of getting a result here. It's a difficult place to come. It's really hot today, really humid. Once we made changes, we started to have a threat on goal. We had two really good luxury [chances one was from] Santi, and the goal on the high press from Hannes is a really good finish, we improved throughout the game offensively, but I thought we defended the game excellently."

On the four second half substitutions: "I'm responding within the game to try and win the game. We've made a conscious effort this season to be a team that tries to win all the time in every moment. [Whether] we're under pressure or we're not creating a lot of chances, whatever the game state is, how do we change the game and react in the moment to improve the team to go win? We started to create chances once we made the changes. We started to really have a threat on the goal. That's a positive to know that we have a bench that can improve the game in the moment."
