Independent Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is rapidly closing in on achieving his goal of being on every ballot in the country come November, as his campaign announced on Friday that he is officially on the ballot in Texas and it submitted signatures for ballot access in D.C.

In May, the Kennedy campaign submitted close to 250,000 signatures in Texas to put him on the ballot in the Lone Star State. This was more signatures than any other candidate in Texas history.

In Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, the Kennedy campaign announced submitted 19,000 signatures to the D.C. Board of Elections, over four times the 4,573 that are required.

Bernadine Francis, the D.C. Volunteer Lead, said in a statement, "It was an honor to help collect signatures to put Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on the ballot. During the pandemic, I changed my political affiliation from Democrat to Independent. I'm grateful to have a candidate like Kennedy who will prioritize human and environmental health and unite our divided country."

BALLOT ACCESS PROGRESS: The ticket, in which Kennedy is running with Nicole Shanahan as his Vice Presidential nominee, has officially made the ballot in 17 states, with Texas joining previously announced Colorado, Iowa, New Mexico, Utah, North Carolina, California, Delaware, Oklahoma, Hawaii, Michigan, Minnesota, Alaska, Indiana, Nebraska, Vermont, and South Carolina.

The Kennedy campaign has now submitted signatures for ballot access in 22 states - Arkansas, Kansas, Maryland, Virginia, Connecticut, Idaho, Iowa, Maine, Missouri, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Colorado, Georgia, Louisiana, New York, New Jersey, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Illinois, Nevada - plus Washington, D.C.
