Yankees & NYC Public Schools Host Back To School Resource Fair Thursday

The Yankees, in partnership, with NYC Public Schools, hosted the 2024 Back-to-School Resource Fair for families and students of Bronx School District 9 on Thursday afternoon at Yankee Stadium.

This annual shared initiative ensures that local families have access to resources that will help their children excel throughout the 2024-25 school year.

Over 2,000 Bronx students who attended the event were provided with backpacks and school supplies. Over a dozen community organizations were on hand to provide information about their services in the areas of food and accommodation, health & social services, youth initiatives, and employment opportunities.

Organizations who attended with Back-to-School Fair resource tables include: American Red Cross, Bank of America (Financial Literacy), Food Bank for New York City, Hispanic Federation, Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club, Leap NYC, Lincoln Hospital, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New Settlement, New York Public Library, NYC DYCD (Department of Youth & Community Development), NYPD (Blue Chips, Explorers, Youth IDs), Optical Academy, Renaissance Youth Center, SCAN-Harbor, YMCA.
