In the first FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll for the 2024 college football season, Georgia claimed the top spot after they beat Clemson, 34-3.
Georgia had 50 of the 54 first-place votes, and this is now the Bulldogs' 36th appearance at No. 1, second most behind Alabama's 61 appearances in the top spot.
An SEC team has been ranked No. 1 in the poll in 57 of the past 58 weeks, dating back to September 29, 2019.
Ohio State, who beat Akron 52-6, and Texas, 52-0 winners over Colorado State, claimed the next two spots, while Alabama was fourth.
Florida State, now 2-0 after falling at home to Boston College, 28-13, fell out of the poll for the first time since November 20, 2022.
