In the FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll for Week 4 of the 2024 college football season, Texas took the top spot for the second straight week after Arch Manning led them to a 51-3 win over UL-Monroe.
An SEC team has now been ranked No. 1 in the poll in 60 of the past 61 weeks, dating back to September 29, 2019.
The next three teams remained the same: No. 2 Georgia, who was idle; No. 3 Ohio State, who rolled past Marshall, 49-14; and No. 4 Alabama, who was off this week.
Tennessee moved up one spot to No. 5 after they won at previously No. 13 Oklahoma, 25-15. Oklahoma received received votes, but fell out of the poll entirely.
Defending champion Michigan returned at No. 12 after a one-week absence due to their thrilling 27-24 win over USC, who fell three spots to No. 13.
Clemson is also back in the poll, at No. 16, after they beat NC State, 59-35.
