Red Bulls' Duncan Out With Torn ACL

Red Bulls Head Coach Jesse Marsch with Kyle Duncan. @NewYorkRedBulls.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Red Bulls announced that defender Kyle Duncan suffered a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament in his right knee during their match against Orlando City SC.

Duncan will have surgery to repair the tear in the coming weeks.

A timetable for his return will be established after surgery.

Duncan, 20, is a product of the Red Bulls Academy. He returned to New York and signed an MLS contract in February after spending two years with FC Valenciennes in France. Duncan appeared in all four MLS games this season, recording his first MLS assist in the 3-0 home win over Minnesota United FC.

Duncan (kyleduncan_6) wrote on Twitter: Unfortunate injury but I am really happy to be with such a great team and a wonderful fan base. This is just a minor set back but I definitely will have a major comeback for sure.
