2018: 50-22
Thursday afternoon: Yankees 4, Seattle 3

The Yankees completed the sweep against the Mariners on Thursday afternoon with a 4-3 victory.
The Yankees got four in the bottom of the first inning against Seattle's James Paxton, as both Aaron Judge and Miguel Andujar belted two-run home runs.
Seattle's Kyle Seager got a two-run homer of his own in the top of the second, and Ben Gamel got an RBI single in the sixth to make it 4-3.
Yankees starter Luis Severino was pulled in the sixth, as he had gone 5 2/3 innings, allowing three runs on eight hits and a walk, with five strikeouts. Severino earned the win to improve to 11-2.
The Yankees bullpen delivered again, as David Robertson went 1 1/3 innings, followed by an inning each from Dellin Betances and Aroldis Chapman, who earned his 22nd save.

June 25, 1998: Yankees 6, Altanta 0

David Wells threw a complete game shutout, as he scattered six hits and no walks, with five strikeouts, to improve to 10-2 in 1998.
The game was scoreless until the sixth when the Yankees broke through against Braves starter Denny Neagle.
Paul O'Neill got a two-run triple and came in to score on an RBi single from Tim Raines. Chad Curtis followed with a two-run homer to make it 5-0 Yankees.
In the eighth, Tino Martinez scored as a result of an error on a hit by Curtis to make it 6-0.

Where they stand: The 2018 Yankees earned their 50th win on Thursday, and are 50-22. They remain three games off the pace of the 1998 team, which was 53-19 through 72 games.
