Yankees Host Baseball Clinic In London

On Thursday, at Finsbury Park in London, the Yankees hosted a baseball clinic for approximately 100 youth in the London community in conjunction with the London Meteorites Baseball and Softball Club.


Yankees Manager Aaron Boone, as well as former Yankees Carlos Beltrán, Reggie Jackson, Hideki Matsui, Andy Pettitte, Mariano Rivera, Alex Rodriguez and Nick Swisher, served as clinic coaches before a BBQ reception.

Also in attendance were Yankees Managing General Partner and Co-Chairperson Hal Steinbrenner and his wife, Christina; Yankees General Partner and Vice Chairperson Jennifer Steinbrenner Swindal; Yankees General Partner and Vice Chairperson Jessica Steinbrenner; Yankees Team President Randy Levine; Yankees Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel Lonn Trost; Yankees Senior Vice President and General Manager Brian Cashman; Yankees Senior Vice President and Assistant General Manager Jean Afterman; and Yankees Senior Vice President of Corporate and Community Relations Brian Smith.

At the close of the event, the Yankees presented the London Meteorites with a legacy gift that included baseball and softball equipment (bats, baseballs, helmets, gloves, catcher’s gear, etc.).
