There was a major change in the FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll for week 5 of the college football season, as Alabama reclaimed the top spot with a 49-26 road win at Arkansas.
Georgia, who held the number-one rank for three weeks, dropped back to No. 2 after they beat Missouri, 26-22, on the road.
Ohio State kept the third spot after they beat Rutgers, 49-10, while Clemson jumped up to claim No. 4 with a 30-20 win over NC State, passing Michigan, who is now fifth after a 27-14 road win over Iowa.
The other big jumps in the Super 16 Poll were by Ole Miss, who jumped to No. 10 from 14 after they beat Kentucky, 22-19, at home. Conversely, because of the loss, Kentucky dropped to No. 15 from ninth.
