College Football Week 6: FWAA-NFF Super 16

 


There was a major shakeup in the FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll. as Georgia reclaimed the top spot with a 42-10 win over Auburn at home. They earned 21 of 52 first-place votes and it is the 12th time that the Bulldogs are No. 1, which ties Clemson for the second-most appearances at the top of the poll.

Alabama dropped from No. 1 to third after they beat Texas A&M 24-20 at home. Ohio State took the second spot after they romped past Michigan State, 49-20.

No. 11 UCLA earned its highest ranking since it was No. 8 in the September 27, 2015 poll, after its 42-32 win over Utah.

Wake Forest and NC State are back in the poll, and Mississippi State joined the poll for the first time this season, and the trio earned No. 14, 15, 16, respectively. Wake Forest beat Army, 45-10, while NC State beat Florida State, 19-17, and Mississippi State beat Arkansas, 40-17.

Utah, Kentucky, and Kansas are out after they each lost their games. Utah lost to UCLA, 42-32; Kentucky lost to South Carolina, 24-14; and Kansas lost to TCU, 38-31.
