Georgia, who had a bye in Week 8, remained atop the FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll, which did not have nearly as much turnover as the week before. Seven teams occupied the same slots in the poll as they did in Week 7.
No. 5 Clemson came from behind to beat Syracuse, 27-21, and No. 7 TCU also came back to beat Kansas State, 38-28, to keep their spots among the top seven ranked teams. Syracuse fell out of the poll after the loss.
Ole Miss dropped six spots, from No. 8 to 14 after they lost to LSU, 45-20. LSU entered the poll for the first time this season with the win, taking the No. 16 ranking.
Oregon moved up two spots with a 45-30 win over UCLA, who fell to No. 13.
