On Wednesday, the Yankees had a very speciael guest for their aftenoon game against the Toronto Blue Jays, 6-year-old Dominick Krankall.
On April 24, Dominick suffered severe burns on his face and other parts of his body after he was struck by a flaming tennis ball allegedly thrown at him by another child.
Prior to the game, Dominick, his parents Aaron and Maria, and four of his six brothers and sisters visited the field. Dominick got to spend time with Yankees pitchers Gerrit Cole, Jonathan Montgomery, and Nestor Cortes.
Dominick played catch with Cortes and excitedly received handfuls of gum from the players.
After the visit to the field, the family watched the game form a Yankee Stadium Suite and received Yankees merchandise from the team store.
