The Yankees announced on Friday morning that their game that night with the Texas Rangers is postponed, and it will be made up as part of a single-admission doubleheader on Sunday starting at 1:35 p.m.

Only tickets dated "Sunday, May 8" will be valid for the Mother's Day doubleheader. All Yankee Stadium gates will be open for fans with valid tickets at noon.

Friday was supposed to be Star Wars night at The Stadium, with the first 18,000 fans set to receive the "Star Wars Night Yankees Today Bobblehead" promotion item on Friday night, and that has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 25 at 7:05 p.m., when the Yankees take on the Orioles.

Fans with paid tickets for the Friday, May 6th game ca be exchange them for tickets to a similar regular season game at Yankee Stadium (subject to availability), including the May 25 rescheduled promotional date. Check out the Yankees' rain check policy by clicking here.

Since Friday was set to be an Amazon Prime telecast, the first game of Sunday's doubleheader at 1:35 p.m. will be broadcast on that platform. The second game will air on the YES Network, with first pitch approximately 30 minutes after the first game.
