The 10,000th Covid-19 vaccine dose was given out on Friday at Yankee Stadium, as they reached a big milestone to complete its first week as a mass vaccination site.

Guidance Counselor Lissette Gonzales of South Bronx Prep received it, and it was given by Dr. Juan Tapia. Lissette is a lifelong Yankees fan and she says she can't wait to return for her second dose in three weeks.

The site is reserved for Bronx residents by appointment only, as the borough has the highest positivity rate in the city.

Bronx residents can schedule appointments by visiting somosvaccinations.com or calling 1-833-SomosNY.
