The Last Thing She Remembers
By J.S. Monroe
Park Row Books; $15.99; available Tuesday, May 28

J.S. Monroe achieved international acclaim and bestselling success around the world with his novel Find Me, and he returns with the gripping psychological thriller, The Last Thing She Remembers.

This enthralling work centers on a woman who tries to reconstruct her life and identity while suffering from stress induced amnesia when her bag is stolen in Heathrow Airport.
This followed a rough week of traveling for work, and Jemma's bag contained all her important possession, including her passport, credit cards, laptop, and house keys. Even more disturbing is, when she goes to report the incident, she can't even recall her own name.
Home and her past don't exist, but the only thing she still has is a train ticket back "home." Jemma becomes a source of mystery in the sleepy Wiltshire village where she arrived because she thought she lived there.
There is a fear amongst the locals when no one recognizes her, wondering if she's a victim or killer and where she came from.
This shocking tale of deception and murky paths raises dark questions about who we are, who we think we are, and who we pretend to be.
