Travel: Marlins Park A Great Place To Catch A Game

If you are in Miami this summer, Marlins Park is a great place to catch a ballgame.

This modern stadium, which opened in 2012, has many attractions you will enjoy, especially if you're down there when the Mets visit the Marlins for the last time this season, July 12 through 14.


It is one of the most affordable ballparks, as nearly 50 percent of the seats are below $25 for single games, and more than a quarter of all seats are $25 or less. Fans can attend a Marlins home game for as little as $10.

The dining options at Marlins Park are quite impressive and are emblematic of the great cuisine you can find in Miami. There's Novecento, PINCHO, SuViche, Miami's Best Pizza, and two concepts by Jose Andres' ThinkFoodGroup - Butterfly Tacos y Tortas and La Pepe.

The Estrella Jalisco Party Pass is a great value if you're in the Miami area and can make a lot of games because you would have priority access to both The Social presented by Estrella Jalisco and the middle level of the AutoNation Alley. This is thought to be the first of its kind in professional sports because you have access to multiple viewing locations with one ticket. 

There is a new social area in center field called AutoNation Alley, which is a tiered viewing platform structure with three primary levels.

The top level of AutoNation Alley is accessible to all fans from the Promenade Level and will feature a craft cocktail bar experience. The middle level is an exclusive standing view platform with drink rail for Estrella Jalisco Party Pass holders. The lower level, the AutoNation Alley Deck, is an exclusive group hospitality space.

The Social presented by Estrella Jalisco is located in the right field corner. It is an exclusive access gathering spot for Estrella Jalisco Party Pass holders with a redesigned in-section view of the game from five tiered drink rails.

On the weekends, the Marlins hold the following special events: Party en el Parque: Little Havana Nights presented by Estrella Jalisco on Fridays, Park before Dark on Saturdays, and Sunday Funday.

Following each Friday and Saturday home game, fans can head to the 5th Base for a complimentary postgame concert. Home games on Saturday nights conclude with a postgame fireworks show.

Marlins Park was built on the site of the Orange Bowl and there is a tribute to the big moments there, including Super Bowl 3, when the Jets beat the Colts in 1969.
